What does parallel connection mean?
In a parallel connection, the positive and negative leads are connected to a single output. This circuit increases the current while keeping the voltage constant.
Practical example: You want to connect three 100W solar panels (Imp=5.56A Vmp=17.8V) to a charge controller with a 20A output and a maximum input voltage of 30V DC. To avoid exceeding the permissible input voltage, you must wire the panels in parallel. That is, positive to positive and negative to negative.
If you measure the strand now, you should be able to measure the following values under ideal lighting conditions: Imp=16.68A and Vmp=17.8V.
