Electric boiler = solar hybrid boiler : The hybrid boiler replaces a classic electric boiler. It primarily uses photovoltaic power to heat water. If required, the water can be reheated with a powerful 1,500 W. A 2-person household saves around 75% of hot water costs per year with a hybrid boiler.

Electric instantaneous water heater = solar off-grid boiler: The off-grid boiler heats water exclusively with photovoltaic power. This makes the off-grid boiler ideal for preheating water for an electric instantaneous water heater. The preheated water reduces the instantaneous water heater's power requirements. You would connect the solar off-grid boiler upstream of the instantaneous water heater so that the preheated water supports the instantaneous water heater.
